Do you have any Physical Ailments?

You understand that old age is associated with many health issues like the nervous system, circulatory disease, diseases of the respiratory system, and other kinds of ailments. However, I would say that I am perfectly well, and only a little beck pain. At times it gets worse, but I tend to think that with this degenerative arthritis, if you exercise, your muscles become fit, and the ailment will not cause any trouble.

Is the current healthcare system meeting your needs?

For this, I would say yes. You understand that with the baby boom population, America is experiencing the largest population of above 65 years in history. This implies that there are so many older people seeking medical care than any other time in history. Therefore, I feel satisfied with the healthcare services I get. More so, many agencies are dedicated to caring for older people, which makes it easy to access health care services.

What do you do for fun?

For fun, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends. I also enjoy cooking, and I took a cooking course at the local market three years ago. When outside the kitchen, I like singing karaoke, watching movies, and reading books. I love movies and books because fiction helps me to forget my stress and relax.

Are your friends still with you?

Yes, I have so many friends because most of them are contemporary to me in terms of age. However, I have some junior and senior friends also. Most of my friends are from college, but I have also made others from my workplace. We share many common interests with my friends, and that is why they are critical to me. I also never feel bored while with them.

Any regrets, and are you satisfied with your life?

I have no regrets in life. I am delighted that I have achieved so much at this age. Besides, I live a happy life, have many close friends, and have educated all my children. You also understand that ambitions wane in old age and therefore it is easier to be satisfied at this age than at a younger generation.

What is your view on death?

Death is inevitable for everyone. What is not certain is when one will die on the earth. Therefore, what do we do? I think we can only wait to hope that the day is not coming soon. However, advanced healthcare planning plays a significant role as a solution because it reduces the incidences of controllable deaths. More opportunities should be created for people to talk about the things that matter most to them, as this will enable people to live well until they die.

Any advice for the younger generation?

The younger generation should know that being young is an asset by itself. They should not fail because everyone who has ever accomplished anything in this life had many failures along the way. The key is how you learn from the failures to move forward. However, the first achievement should be ensuring that they live a lifestyle that guarantees good health and physical safety.

What is the most important lesson you have learned from life?

Life has taught me to be flexible with my goals. Sometimes we feel like it is the right time to take action and put our plans in motion, only to realize that we are wrong. It is essential to analyze our current position and how this will affect us in the future. The analysis is meant to help us adjust our goals to what we can achieve to avoid frustrations and stress.
