The municipal government units the legal subdivision of Puerto Rico by treating them equally as a county. The population density of Puerto Rico all over the world is very high, except in Bangladesh. However, areas such as the city-states of Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan, Barbados, and the Maldives are crowded. Under the total world population, Puerto Rico is equivalent to 0.05% percent (People, 2020).

Puerto Ricos are people represented by their racial and cultural mix because of their cultural and immigration assimilations. When the Taino people were forced into slavery by the Spanish, the entire population was decimated except the Amerindians because they escaped to the mountains (People, 2020). Puerto Ricans are also known to be hospitable people and friendly even to strangers. When meeting people for the first time, they usually give them a handshake. However, it begins with a hello, a kiss, and hugs with close family and friends.

Today, Puerto Rico values education, which is why 94% of the total population is literate. Most of them budget for knowledge to ensure they have a good life (People, 2020). Puerto Ricans are people known to attend college education all over the world. The obligation of education for Puerto Ricos is between 6 to 17 years (People, 2020). For instance, the grades in primary school are six. The secondary level takes three years and consists of two cycles.

Public school terms begin from January to late May and August to mid-December. As estimated in 2013, Puerto Rico has 764 private schools and 1,460 public schools (People, 2020). The Department of Education does the administration of the school system through several learning levels. Even though they use the Spanish language in schools, children from kindergarten to high school are also taught English as part of their school curriculum (People, 2020).

A few private schools consist of English programs that allow English to be used except during Spanish classes. Puerto Rico consists of 50 higher education institutions such as technical institutes, community colleges, and universities (People, 2020). Due to this, the tribe has achieved the highest education rates because most college students attend such institutions for higher learning.

Even though English is an official language, Spanish remains the dominant language. However, English is the only required language for federal matters, particularly in tourist areas (People, 2020). The constitution of Puerto Rico constitutes all freedom of faith. Most religions found in that area include the Protestants, Catholics, and other faiths. The Island also has churches of various denominations. The islanders are also said to be spiritual because they practice Santeria (People, 2020). For instance, the Afro-Caribbean system was responsible for bringing Puerto Rico from Cuba to form a small Jewish community on the Island.

The most inspiring thing about Puerto Rican people is the desire for education. It is fascinating to see how parents value education for a better future life. Even though most of them struggle with the English language, their constitution has allowed them to be taught to blend well with other people.
