The Industrial Revolution affected the way people lived in Europe. It led to people moving from rural areas to urban centers to live together, and this caused the formation of several congregations in churches (Austin et al., 2020). It also led to the amplifying of the protestant reformation. This reformation led to the translation of the Bible into different languages and spread to different parts of the world (Chao et al., 2020). This led to a rise in the number of missionaries who decided to spread the gospel globally. The missionaries set foot in different parts of the world, including Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. It led to embracing diversity, and blacks were welcomed into the church congregations and allowed to worship with the whites.

Holiness Movement

It entails the history of Methodists and how women, such as Sarah Worrall, led to the formation of the Holiness Movement (Gertz et al., 2020). They started as meetings to promote holiness, women only attended the meetings, but, later on, got attended by men and other clergy individuals of the church (Golossanov et al., 2020). One advocated for women's rights when it came to the formation of church ministries. The Holiness Movement spread out globally through all parts of the universe, it started in Britain, and later on, it attracted women in different parts of the world since it granted them the ability to form their movements and even church ministries whose main aim is to enlighten people and make them accept Jesus Christ.

Obstacles

Christians face many challenges when it comes to spreading the gospel, for example, wars in some countries (Millar et al., 2020). The wars disrupted the spread of Christianity in that Christians got killed because their cultures did not accept biblical beliefs.

Due to insufficient funds, it prevents the spread of Christianity globally (Olsen et al., 2020). The funds pay for the missionaries' needs, and also it is used to buy pamphlets and Bibles to share the word of God.
