Normally, the United States is one of the countries that is profoundly associated with a high rate of racial discrimination, and blacks are the most affected ethnic group (King, 2017). The approach is triggered by a lack of a better understanding of the conceptual approach to black history. As a way of solving issues within the twentieth century, it is crucial for the government to consider the color line. Historically, the color line started with slavery. As such, slavery is a fundamental aspect of American history. During the time of slavery, the founding principle of equality conflicted with how blacks were being subjected (King, 2017). Additionally, the country was built by slaves as they provided labor sources, which played a vital role in economic growth. Therefore, introducing the history of blacks in school could be a critical aspect in helping learners to effectively appreciate the role of African Americans in the growth of the economy.

For the country to solve issues associated with race and intolerance, it is crucial for people to learn about history. In this case, learning about history will provide people with background knowledge about the issues according to the differences in race (Howard, 2019). Furthermore, learners tend to appreciate black history as it triggers the elimination of injustice, which has been a critical social issue (King, 2017). Therefore, learning about black history would assist the government in eliminating issues that affect the communities.
