Evidence-based practice, EBP does not require one to affirm any available knowledge or create new concepts compared to how research work. The main aim of EPB is to employ sound evidence to make real-time decisions in health matters.

However, research work plays an essential role in the provision of the best evidence that supports EBP. Some scenarios require health professionals to rely on clinical experience and values to make healthcare decisions (Drisko & Grady, 2019).
