Introduction

The employment landscape is continually changing, with employers developing new job recruitment approaches. Some of these recruitment styles have resulted in the development of low job designs. Both the employees and employers fail to reach the full potential of their job capability and flexibility. Poor job design has been identified to have damaging effects on productivity. A poorly designed job or workplace is characterized by factors such as lower employee satisfaction and the lack of a hospitable approach in the workplace design. Work Productivity

To ensure that work productivity is maintained at a top tier level, it is necessary to provide the workers with a hospitable working environment that boosts and enhances motivation. This could get achieved by incorporating smart designs in the workplace, such as sufficient lighting, relaxation lounges, higher ceilings, and employee interactional spaces, among other essential accessories that could improve the workplace design aspects of the workplace. Maintaining a motivated workforce is necessary for increased productivity purposes. A habitable working environment has been identified as a significant contributing factor to employment aspects such as employees working overtime, among other related aspects of work productivity.

Changing organizational culture is another integral aspect of employee productivity. Organizational culture refers to the values and practices that an organization holds with high regard and could define the organization in question. Different organizations have different cultures, which may vary depending on various factors such as; the quality of services provided, the business type, the company's goals, objectives and aims, the founders' vision, mission, and strategy, among other diverse factors. Organizational culture is essential in that it helps to define how employees within a particular organization interact and how these interactions can help influence the target customers and promote the brand.

Changing the Organizational Culture

To improve poor job design, changing the organizational culture is a necessity that is of paramount importance. The corporate culture is the lifeline along which a given business enterprise thrives along. For instance, a business with a culture of promoting and maintaining employee motivation is expected to have higher productivity than a business that hardly invests in the workforce's motivation. Such organizational culture changes are necessary to ensure that productivity is enhanced from within the workers and not dependent on other externalities that may vary depending on the prevailing market conditions.

Therefore, job design and organizational culture are vital essential aspects of any business enterprise that must be maintained at top management. With a good job design and organizational culture, an enterprise can maintain high productivity even when operating under limited conditions. Businesses that have learned the importance of good job design can boast of a more satisfied workforce, thus boosting productivity. Consequently, adding to good organizational culture, productivity is enhanced even further.

Conclusion

Business management is essential as it enables the operator to develop more effective administration techniques that help grow businesses into even bigger enterprises than initially anticipated. This begins with good job design and organizational culture.
