Introduction

The study of history is in line with the order of a chronology of event occurrences. A series of problems experienced in studying history is due to the numerous facts and details that history contains that are difficult to memorize. Consequently, a connection between the various facts is built to make it easier in recalling the various historical facts. While studying history, the events, details, and facts are placed in the context of a virtual picture and working it into smaller and comprehensive details. Another ideal way of studying history is through the use of mind maps. This creates profound knowledge on mapping historical information and exploring the different ideas by the use of symbols, images, colors, and words creating an indelible impression that aid in memorizing the historical details including tracing of date of event occurrence as well as the names of those involved. Watching movies is also an effective method of studying history.

The available films and documentaries on historical events give a handful amount of information and are also very entertaining as well especially for those who tend to drift away when reading the historical books. A tranche of information on history is also contained in written text. The titles included in the textbooks give an insight on what historical information each book contains (Bernhard, 2018).

Primary Source

A primary source gives firsthand information about a topic under investigation. It gives reliable information since they were created at a specific time an event occurred. Primary sources include letters, photographs, artifacts, sound, and video recordings created within the historical timing. One primary source gives fragments of historical information and thus the different primary sources are assembled and analyzed giving complete information on an event occurrence or any other topic under research. They can be transformed into newer formats through publishing but still retain the exact original information. Primary sources are available in their original formats in archives, museums, and historical sites (archives.gov).

Facts and dates are the central building blocks of history study. These are included especially in archaeological methods of obtaining historical information (Elsaesser, 2019). Materials that have been preserved and documented may require actual dating during research. Research papers and response essays are used to familiarize with sources and texts. For instance, a research paper may be used on a topic related to a kingdom in ancient times with archaeological artifacts remains. The evidence may be used to try to reconstruct how the site looked like and give a historical guide of the features found in that site. However, there are other alternatives to answer historical questions during a historical study for example the use of media. Through technology, unique abilities in getting information from different sources on historical significance are appreciated. Historical information has been published and broadcasted in television programs on documentaries as well as the different plays performed in a general setting.

Differences

People in the fifteenth century interact in diverse ways including through the web of empires that brought people of different cultures together. For instance, Christians and Muslims came into contact through the Ottoman Empire, Hindus and Muslims interacted through the Mughal empire. Another was the Incan Empire that served to integrate people also with different cultures. However, differences in the empires led to conflicts such as that experienced within the Umma. Hostility grew between the Sunni Ottoman Empire and the Shia Safavid Empire.

Diverse forms of religion were another effective way people interacted (Corbellini & Steckel, 2019). For instance, people in England and Russia adopted Christianity as their religious culture. Buddhism integrated people from China, Korea, Tibet, Japan, and other parts of southeast Asia. Islam also contributed and brought people of diverse cultures together including Africans, Arabs, Persians, and Indians. Islamic culture was much significant in the Afro-Eurasian region with its involvement in the passage of goods among people as well as its contribution to the Trans-Saharan trade.

The patterns of trade were a major way in which a large population of people interacted. The communities practicing agriculture in southern Nigeria got horses from the drier parts of the north, along the Mississipi river in North America and the Amazon rivers in south America facilitated the interaction between the people and the transporters who owned the canoes used to cross the rivers. People of the Caribbean and those along the Pacific coast interacted through the coastal shipping activities in the regions. Trading became a major way in which many people interacted such as the Yap island in the pacific served as a major oceanic trading network. It is as a result of the trade that intermarriages were promoted and formed trade links between different people. It was encouraged to create bonds between the diverse people with their different cultures forming a new culture.

Conclusion

However, these trade patterns had their challenges for instance the silk road that served as an interaction between the hunting community of Serbia and people from Eurasia in the silk road trading network was disrupted. This was due to the fall of the Mongol Empire as well as the plague that struck the region reducing the demand for goods. Also, the Ottoman Empire disrupted commercial contact between Europe and China.
