Cognitive or conceptual maps refer to an image presentation of a person or a group of people's mental models for a given series of events (Elsawah et al. 2015). Cognitive maps have a pivotal purpose in improving education standards in the learning sector due to their usage of visual charts, making it easier for students to obtain the information for reference. According to Watson et al. (2016), through cognitive mapping, learners can come up with perfect ideas in collaboration with other students all over the world concerning their surroundings in a more significant way. It's an important tool for teachers, too, enhancing their teaching techniques, thereby making it easier to deliver the intended information to many students. In a nutshell, both learners and teachers are capable of relating well with each other and directly connecting with material things in the surroundings. Elsawah et al. (2015) say that Conceptual maps can also be used for research purposes as they can be used for both qualitative and quantitative analysis depending on the researcher's desire to come up with the intended information.

Purpose of the Kinship Diagram, and the useful information.

According to Rauff et al. (2016), a Kingship Diagram is an illustration of relationships between people either by marriage, related by blood, social ties, or adoption. The purpose of the Kinship Diagram give anthropologists an easier time to make brief descriptions of relationships between individuals to allow easier interviewing progress. It is also a visual means of presenting information of a particular group of people without sorting of names to avoid confusion. It doesn't bring forth the known members into the limelight (Radcliffe et al. 2015). The Kinship Diagram is used to determine one's lineage, and anthropologists can achieve that by coming up with kinship charts with different symbols to represent individuals. Rauff et al. (2016), state that the useful information in the Kinship diagram is that it helps in tribal and rural societies to realize the rules and regulations required in the family and marriage, behavioral activities of kins, how to avoid relationships among kins and both social and political relations among kins.

The Model

In the Family kinship Diagram as the preferred model, all family members are aware of the custom norms and the repercussions that may arise from any misbehavior among them, which can be taboo to them (Rauff et al. 2015). According to Radcliffe et al. (2015), the grandparents in this model are at the topmost of the family, father, mother, aunties, uncles then cousins; this makes every person observe rules and regulations to have social respect towards each other. The chart focuses on relationships of the whole family, and symbols are used to represent how people are related to each other in that particular family.

Purpose of literature review in a proposal.

According to Kraeutler et al. (2017), a Literature review is a summary of research that was previously done about a specific topic. A literature review helps one convey suitable ideas geared on a given topic by underlying advantages and disadvantages as one can acquire the desired opinion on the subject in a proposal ( Villar et al. 2018). The review also helps in the Justification of research methodologies and research designs, which can also improve data collection in a proposal e.g., a researcher may opt to use a qualitative approach instead of a quantitative method for data collection, thus making it useful in the project.
