Introduction
When people think about coffee, they imagine busy bosses and business meetings, or an employee trying to close a business. Although in some cases, this is often true, for my analysis of Third-wave Coffee Shop, I am going to target a group that is mostly ignored when it comes to such a business—the university and college students.
Symbolic Representation
Meet Linda, for the purpose of this assignment; I would like to use Linda as a symbolic representation of my target audience. She is 20 years old, single, a full-time interior design student, and a part-time freelancer living in San Francisco, California. She has a household income of 25,000 dollars and therefore is very particular about her spending. She highly prefers to use her debit or credit card instead of cash. She has an active Facebook account, which is her life, also active on Twitter, Pinterest, Snapchat, and Instagram. She is always on the lookout for free coupons and exceptional, exciting places, experiences, and restaurants.
What she looks for at the end of a hectic day is a place to decompress, a calm and peaceful place to study away from the destruction of the messy room, a cool new adventure, and, most importantly, a good deal that makes her feel good about the purchases. She is highly influenced by her colleagues, articles, magazines, publication on design, and mainly by friends. She is, however, mostly buried in her computer and books. Her room is primarily messy, and her fridge empty. She takes uber and trains everywhere. Therefore, I would categorize Linda as a thinker Achiever.
Conclusion
Linda is organized as she can separate her school time and that of her part-time personal work. She is hardworking in both her job and school. Additionally, she values technology that provides a productive boost since she is an interior designer.
As an interior designer, Linda is more concerned about what is new and therefore employs the use of technology in a practical way. She plans, does analyses for cool and exciting paces, employs social media, and a high tendency toward research.
