What Do You Think It's Like to Be the Person Giving Instructions (The Guide), And Why?
I think the individual issuing instructions to the other person plays a crucial role not only in guiding the person through the game but also in a significant part of the person’s life since there exists a complete trust between the two. The level of trust dramatically depends on the individual in front of you. It is simple to adequately know the person in your front because it will make the communication process easier and encourage the use of more specific words in the delivery of the instructions. There are numerous responsibilities that the person giving instructions has towards the person receiving the instructions. For instance, as the person giving instructions, you have to be sure that the instructions are elaborate to enable the receiver to comprehend them.
What Do You Think It’s Like to Be the Person Receiving the Instructions (The Builder with The Blindfold On), And Why?
I think there is a lot of stress to the person who has to follow the instructions because the instructions require considerable attention and keenness to understand and accurately follow. In most cases, one finds it hard to ask questions, although he or she has not understood the instructions. The process is even more stressful if you are not familiar with the instructor, and therefore you do not want to feel like a bother by asking questions. I believe it is the nature of humans to want often to win or be successful in something. As such, people tend to give their best to prove that they can do any task correctly; hence the more challenging the task, the more motivated a person feels up to the task.
Why Do You Think Empathy Is Important to Communication?
Empathy refers to the ability to comprehend other people's feelings adequately and to view the world from their perspective. Thus, empathy is essential in communication since life primarily involves building relationships, assisting others, setting good examples, and trusting others. With a lack of empathy, proper and effective communication can never exist. Currently, we are living in a world with numerous people possessing varied perspectives and cultures. Hence, we need to emphasize and understand the viewpoints of others to gain their trust. It is critical to comprehend that everyone experiences challenges in life, relationships, and work. However, by being a good adviser and listener, one can dramatically help others overcome the challenges.
How Could You Apply What You've Learned About Empathy When Dealing with Challenges at Work, School, Or Home? Show Answers For 2
Four years ago, with only three months to the end of the school month, Esther in my class fell sick. She was one of the best students in the class. However, the illness led to her missing lessons for three weeks. Consequently, the sickness made her weak, resulting in stress and anxiety, as she had missed a lot from class projects to assignments. Later on, when she came to school, I decided to talk to her and encourage her since I had also been in the same situation before and could feel what she was going through. I told her not to worry about the projects and assignment because I was going to assist her; she felt happy knowing how supportive and understanding I was.
How Do You See Empathy Applying to Teamwork and Diversity in Cultures and Life Experiences? Respond to Both Teamwork/Diversity and Life Experiences.
Presently, my country has a significant population of immigrants, people with different cultures, religions, languages, and habits. I was only 17 when I arrived in the country, in the process of pursuing my degree, I met new different classmates and participated in most teamwork projects both in school and work. Teamwork often calls for tolerance and understanding because people tend to have distinct opinions and ideas. Furthermore, I have participated in team works where I was the only one from a unique race. In most cases, conflict in ideas was inevitable due to the failure to understand one another's feelings. Solving the differences in opinions and ideas often left everyone in the team happy and contented. Empathy played a critical role in letting us understand the feelings of one another and mirror them as our own. When it comes to life experiences, there is always much to share. However, the power of empathy in my family is worth sharing. My mom always has a lot of responsibilities at home; as a family, we understand and support her. We often help her perform the house chores by dividing the tasks among us; we understand that she also needs free time.
