Since you will be staying at my house for a few weeks, it is only right that I give you a house tour. The house has been designed in the Pompeian style, and we will start the house tour from the front door. As you enter, you will notice this entrance hall, which is referred to as the vestibulum. It is the main entrance, and as since the house is in an urban location, I decided to construct shops that are on the right and left of the vestibulum. I rent out the shops referred to as tarbena, and for security and privacy purposes, the shops have doors that open to the streets, and therefore they do not have access to the main house. Since the walls were so plain, I decided to add this family's wall art eating dinner.

The vestibulum leads to the atrium, which is an airy room having an opening on the roof. At the center of the atrium, there is a pool which mainly collects water from the roof opening when it rains. I think it is amazing to have this opening since it brings in light and fresh air into the house. It also makes the room more attractive, which was why I opted for this unique design. I have also placed a chair against the wall for visitors or even myself to sit on when I want to relax or meditate. To make the room more attractive and lively, I decided to add some plants just around the pool of water so that they can also get enough sunlight.

On the right and left side of the atrium, there are cubicilums, and these are small bedrooms that function as bedrooms. There is nothing much in the rooms since they are guest rooms. I will show you your room, which has a sleeping couch and a small chest of drawers. I love having guests over to my house, and therefore their comfort is my priority. The décor in the room is simple, and I have also included a wing chair on the side just in case the guest wants to relax, which is very comfortable. Moving forward, there is the ala, which is mainly the wings of the atrium. They help give a better view of the atrium. I have constructed shelves against the wall at the ala, which hold different house décors such as these fake plants and flowers and some framed pictures of my family and me. The left side of the la is the side which mainly has the collection of the family photos.

One of the alae opens to a triclinium, which is the dining area. The triclinium has a dining table and chairs. There is also a sink at the corner of the room where people can wash their hands before taking meals. This is where we have our meals together as a family and my guests. Therefore, I needed lighting that would set the food in the room; that is why I went for wall lighting since I did not want the room to be too bright. The other ala opens to the culina, which is the kitchen. I chose to have two windows in the kitchen for proper ventilation, and this is where food is prepared in case you ever feel hungry, feel free to grab something from the kitchen.

We then have the tablinum, which is the study room where we store our files. It is also my home office, where I work from or hold a meeting when working from home. The paintings on the wall are just decorations, and I think they make the room feel livelier. Past the tabilinum, there is the peristylium, which is a garden with flowers and plants. I also have two lime trees in the garden at the center to receive as much light as possible. I like taking lime water in the morning, and therefore I thought it would be convenient if I planted lime trees.the peristylum is the largest room in my house. Next to the peristylum are two cubiculum, which is slightly bigger than the other ones at the atrium. The rooms belong to my two sons and therefore had to make them a little bigger.

Next to their rooms is the exedra, mainly a room where I can hold parties or small social gatherings. I also hold dinner parties in the room with my friends. It looks empty since I arrange it according to the event being held, so I do not see the need to buy permanent furniture for the room. There are wall paintings that make the room functional and fabulous at the same time. The wall art helps break the blank wall's monotony since it is bright and blends in many colors. The washrooms are located next to the exedra. Finally, there is the master bedroom, which is located next to my sons. Normally Pompeian houses had the triclinium here, but I saw it fit for the master bedroom to be there instead. We already have two dining areas where and therefore, a third one was not necessary.
