Absolutism is a type of a political framework that believes that the ruling government should have absolute powers in the governance of a particular country as witnessed in monarchical and dictatorship types of management. Additionally, the doctrine believes that the leader should have unlimited and centralized authority thus is responsible for making a decision on behalf of the country. Further, the theory does not support any form of regulations, control or any checks and balances from any agency in the government, for instance, the judiciary, legislative, or religion. Moreover, the theory hinders the democratic representation of people through electoral processes. Therefore, the absolute rule is a rule by one person usually a king or a queen, and any law or constitution do not influence their operations.
