In this article, the state of Qatar is said to be among the states of the world that have featured public art as an important urban environment trend. This follows a pool of big projects designed by the government to attract investors from across the world. The article also discuss how globalization has promoted the development of public art, which has in turn given the state a competitive advantage in the urban development industry. Basically, the main focus of the paper is on the role of public art in promoting Qatar's urban cities. The research is relevant to my research topic because it basically looks at the effects of globalization in the line of architectural development. Public art is a form of architecture, and it is an effect of globalization that plays a significant role in upgrading the lives of Qatar residents. The two buildings that I will discuss in my research are an illustration of the various catalysts of transformation that enhance the economic growth as well as the recognition of built environment as mentioned in the article.

This article stresses that the built environment provides ample space to enhance social interactions, which are essential in promoting the livability level in cities. The paper discusses explicitly the extent to which the built environment of Souq Waqif, Doha's heritage site contributes to the improvement of livability and social interactions in Doha, as well as the modernized business arena at West Bay. The study further investigates the geographical form of two neighborhoods and how they contribute to comfortable surroundings.
This source is relevant to my topic because it outlines ways in which urbanization especially regarding architecture has transformed people's lives in Doha, Qatar. The paper also gives a pool of perspectives on how urbanization has impacted Doha/ Qatar including the development of new forms of built environment such as urban educational facilities and hotels made of glass towers. The two buildings chosen for my research are examples of urban development in Qatar and their impacts on the city are similar to those mentioned in this paper by other modern architectural sites in Doha.

This article evaluates the uncontrollable growth in most the Asian cities including the infrastructure development in the Middle East. The researchers argue that despite this development, there is not enough research to give insight into the different types of public events evident or the extent to which they have influenced sustainable growth patterns. The article is important t my topic of study which focusses on the effects of globalization in Qatar/Doha regarding architecture because it helps the reader understand various forms of urban architecture and how they contribute to sustainable growth.
The two chosen building for my topic are modern forms of architecture in Qatar and their quality as well as other characteristics of urban growth make this article relevant to my problem. The findings of the research in this article suggest that Doha is one of the few Middle East cities creating unique patterns of development that promote sustainable growth. This article discusses Qatar's increased urbanization during the 20th century due to the rapid increase of oil production. The article goes on to explain that this development has maintained an upward trend up to date following the implementation of new and more effective strategies to diversify Qatar's economy. The numerous events in this country have in turn led to an urbanization process that has transformed Qatar into a regional urban center with millions of residents. In light of this, the article offers an investigative analysis of Doha's urban evolution.
The paper explores various economic and environmental transformations that have had an undeniable impact on the city's structure. The relevance of this source to my topic is that it outlines the effects of globalism on Doha/Qatar today by describing the transformational process of Qatar's urban center. The two buildings including the torch tower/aspire tower, and the Museum of Islamic art that I will be focusing on has been part of the transformational process in Doha, and they have individually contributed to the sizeable developing economy of the city. The paper explains that particular economic activities drove different periods of urbanization and these buildings signify an urbanization period driven by modern architecture and urban structure
