1970 Controlled Substance Act-The comprehensive drug abuse prevention directly impacted the pharmacist practices in that the requirement by law demanded every pharmacist to register, keep specific records and rules regarding the administration of controlled substances. To ensure this Act is observed, the federal legislation laid down rigid penalties for all those pharmacists who violate the controlled substance act (Bingham & Mallette, 2016). Ideally, the law requires that pharmacists to ensure prescriptions dispensed for medications must be recorded and underscored by the individual practitioner except in cases of emergency prescriptions where the pharmacist is allowed to perform oral medication (Bingham & Mallette, 2016).

Non-State membership to the state board was canceled down by this law, meaning that only medical practitioners from within Oklahoma can be allowed to run pharmacies in here and join the board committee.
Management of pain and Substance disorders In October 2018, the United Staes administration under Trump signed into the law of substance use disorder prevention that demanded treatment of patients (Medina et al., 2020). This law is based on several policies of the comprehensive addiction and recovery Act that covered new initiatives for promoting prevention and accessibility to treatments. In essence, the legislation required the electronic prescription of medicine and controlled substance prescriptions to limit the pharmacists' errors in dispensing prescriptions. Additionally, it was aimed at expanding therapeutical medication management.
Drug price transparency- In this part, the pharmaceutical organizations require that every pharmacy list prices for prescription drugs, allow negotiations based on the listed rates, and ensure proper management of medical care service equipment. This would help in increasing transparency and accuracy in determining the price of prescriptions.
