Introduction
According to Hendricks (2017), organizational cultural socialization is how an organization addresses its operations based on their cultural values, customs, and beliefs. These values form a fundamental ground for the organization in achieving its objectives. Organization partners need to intermarry their values. In the case of cultural values differences, then the partnership should be abolished ( Hendricks, 2017). Partnerships are crucial for achieving some goals, but for their effectiveness, planners must focus on structural and interactive strategies as a means of binding different partners.
Principles
As Hendricks (2017) observed, the two organizations should take time-sharing principles and visions, probably on a written form. It is purposely to lay a collaboration and interaction foundation that needs flexibility because when two different organizations partners together, there may be frictions (Jarzabkowski, 2005). As Hendricks (2017) explained, to ensure smooth partnership operation, creating a partnership parameter is crucial, as well as regular communication and training in line with the partnership objectives. As Mintzberg (1994) observed, strategic planners are essential for this process. Plans are communication and control tools, informing partnership members on what and how to achieve. Good planners must be excellent analysts and catalyst in partnership objectives achievement through better strategies finding. Formal administration and predictability for planning are key due to the changing environment (Mintzberg, 1994).
Interactions
Face-to-face interaction amongst different hierarchy is one interaction that enables question and answer sessions (Jarzabkowski, 2005). Top managers create a favorable environment of looking at partnership challenges and online interaction to achieve partnership visions (Jarzabkowski, 2005). Due to the changing environment, continuous interactive reconstruction is necessary. As Jarzabkowski (2005) observed, procedural strategizing states hierarchy and responsibilities. It requires low managerial attention but having control relevance situated to embedded activity (Jarzabkowski, 2005). Interactive strategizing outlines normative control and framework meanings. Great managerial attention is required due to high goal relevance (Jarzabkowski, 2005).
Conclusion
In conclusion, organization partnership affects cultural socialization. Sharing visions and principles is key in marrying different organizational partners, providing better ground for mutual understanding. Planners conduct a thorough analysis to find better strategies for better performance of partnering organizations. Based on the formalization and predictability of plans, members are catalyzed by knowing their partnership responsibility. Structural and interactive are some of the strategies used by planners. Planners should understand the benefits and challenges of these strategies before implementing them.
