The Golden age of Hip Hop has proved to be one that has grown and become very diverse. The very best is by A Tribe Called Quest the album goes by the name The Low-End Theory that was for 1991. It is a smooth combination of Jazz music and rap that has not been heard before. The music is poetical and funky based on the traditionalist Miles, Mingus and James Brown who were the last poets during this era. Queens Natives and Phife Dawg trade verses like jazz greats trading solos. Their rhyme as a person listens to their music is carefully crafted and provisional. A combination of smooth raps, light and intelligent microphone braggadocio without including any manner of ignorance as they make their music. Beastie Boys is another group that has received lots of love from hip hop fans and even on the radio stations.
