The three significant attributes, namely pleasure, well-being, and human development are closely interrelated in terms of their practical manifestations, as the occurrence of one probably leads to the other. Their core working principle is built on a subjective measure, which can, in turn, be utilized as the intervention mechanism for ensuring that the products and services offered to individuals are of the best quality and meets their demand expectations. Accordingly, Paul Anand stipulates that income will not be the only determining parameter of a human's well-being or development or the extent of happiness (Anand). However, the scope should also be inclusive of the monitory needs, health & education, the rate of increased use of the models that seems life satisfying, and lastly, the models of a satisfying empirical experience. With the consideration of such crucial subjective measures, it was possible to pinpoint the accurate indicators of happiness, well-being, and overall human development that can be determined. The central aim of this discussion was to analyze and explore the relationship between the three parameters. The influence of subjective measures on human life satisfaction and how the outcome is linked to the creation of well-being were also discussed in the latter part of this study.
For instance, Anand found out that life satisfaction was closely linked to happiness. Meanwhile, various persons responded differently when answering questions concerned with their achievement. This was also additional proof that, in reality, personal satisfaction is not always the only subjective measure for use. The respondents provided a series of answers in the open-ended type of questions that were provided to them in the form of an administered questionnaire. While some mentioned food, some stated that they had their desired clothes; some said that they had traveled to their dream areas, others quoted engaging in sports activities, among many other varieties of responses. It was, therefore, uneasy to determine the average rate of satisfaction for a given population since almost everyone had a divergent opinion on what makes them happy (Anand). While performing further analysis, primary attributes or categories were introduced. It was thus possible to group the respondents in a given group, then use the earlier stated subjective intervention mechanisms to drive conclusions on the best strategies of ways of improving the quality and life satisfaction at every individual's level.
These categories are also referred to as the domains of life satisfaction. They include food and security, transportation, cost, standards of living, and personal relations. They typically provide the basis for the life assessment of what people must have or possess to consider themselves happy. They are also a more extensive branch of life assessment techniques and intervention criteria for measuring the extent of happiness. The concept of happiness is equally important because it promotes the possibilities of one's well-being, and thus a positive deviation in general development can be observed.
Furthermore, Anand also discovered in his writing that life satisfaction was no longer directly proportional to overall well-being. There are possibilities that one is stable financially but is not well. The extent of well-being can only be determined using an individual's level of intelligence. Therefore, prosperity can rarely be attained because it is uneasy about having the ownership of attributes or subjective measures such as fulfillment in security, transportation, food, gaming, etc. Studies have it that most people with job satisfaction even get prone to several domestic and economic problems (Anand). Paul articulates that the situation may be so because most people misunderstand job satisfaction to health and human well-being, thus end up leaving in a mysterious and antagonizing kind of life. It is, therefore, essential to own other attributes, life drivers, and other forms of social control to survive effectively to the expected ethical standards.
Another critical key player in the creation of positive well-being was found to be Eudaimonic Measures. These refer to how a parent treats their children on various occasions. Anand, in his analysis, noted that occasional appreciations given to children by the parents build their positive self-esteem, which also contributes heavily towards their human developmental process. As a recommendation, parents were advised to always have a say not only in the pleasurable moments and activities but also in the non-pleasurable activities to enable the children to recognize their mistakes and appreciate the efforts by their parents in pursuit of trying to build great personalities in them.
Finally, Paul concludes the writing in an attempt to draw a clear relationship existing between well-being and human development and wrap it all together with the concept of happiness. In his findings, he noticed that there are several factors to consider, but the most important, it is health and education (Anand). When one has this support, then there is much likelihood that the child would need fewer efforts to mold into a great personality with well-mannered behaviors. Social responsibility helps children to cope up with the challenges around them. These challenges may include financial problems, food, clothing, and stress. Also, education is equally important, even though Anand admits that there are fewer findings to prove its core essentialness.
Meanwhile, other researchers state that, with education, educators can easily understand the intelligence levels and the variance from one child to another. Hence attention will also be offered based on the results to ensure that everyone achieves satisfaction, which is the most crucial aspect and contributor to happiness, well-being, and human development. The discussion has also discussed the reason why it is core to consider other subjective measures like food ad only income. In summary, the topic was explored in-depth, and a great relationship was drafted between the three pillars successfully.
