In my life, several occurrences are always bound to be remembered. However, my most memorable of all these experiences was when I became a parent. It is after giving birth to my son that I realized the importance of life and the true meaning of happiness. Taking care of the pregnancy until I gave birth made me realize how to develop a purpose to strive to achieve better in life to offer a good life for my children. The knowledge that my husband and I had established a wonderful home that my son would be brought up around. However, I kept wondering if I was going to effectively take care of the duties of both a mother and a wife. Trying to determine the most appropriate approaches to ensuring I raise a well-rounded gentleman.
My husband was really happy with the incision of our son into our lives. It created a better sense of appreciation for the kind of life I was building for my family and me. Identifying this as a concrete basis for a wonderful, prosperous future. With a newborn baby came new related responsibilities. The steps in feeding my son, attention to the specific food types needed at every level of his growth and development. The adventure of getting to understand how a young baby reacts to various situations and conditions. I was frequently cleaning up after the mess he has made.
It was very interesting watching my son gradually grow as days, weeks, and months went by. It is from the first time he could sit upright all by himself, crawl until he could make his first steps. During these processes, the knowledge that he entirely relied on me to assist at every step. Regardless of his inability to communicated verbally, we had developed some sought of language that only the two of us could understand. I had established a way of understanding when he was uncomfortable with anything. Though there existed some periods where he would cry, and I don’t understand the cause or reasons for him being uncomfortable. Then I would go through circles trying to sing to him, look for his favorite toys until something works eventually.
During this period, I also remember the tense periods that arose with the various infections that he contacted. Being a new mother, I did not have a detailed understanding of how to handle most of the illnesses. My husband and I, at times, forced to take him to the hospital at night with no knowledge of what was wrong with him. When all this was over, the feeling of relief is unforgettable. The pressure that all responsibilities at this stage of my son’s life entirely depended on me. The task of instilling good moral values and how to align with expectations from society. The feeling of responsibility and a sense of being a better person having a purposeful life.
It is also considering that at this time was when I had moved into my own house. AwAy from my parents and the new responsibilities as a wife. With these coming to the concern of whether I am doing everything right as per my husband’s expectations. My greatest desire to be a perfect mother and wife. My husband was supportive, assuring me that I was handling this new experience as a mother and wife very well. He offered opinions on how we could better achieve raising a wonderful family together. It was a wonderful memorable period of my life.
