When the health system of America and that of other developed countries such as Germany are compared, There are great differences in terms of money spent, most prominent issue or problem facing Americans currently is the health care quality and cost of the U.S system. Healthcare in the United States of America is too expensive for its citizens compared to other nations like Canada, a large part of Europe, and some other nations across the globe(Dickman, Himmelstein, and Woolhandler,2017). The country consists of private and two types of programs ran by the government like Florida and California whose expenses approximately range around $450 each month. The U.S. government spends a lot of its income on healthcare which is completely different from other countries that utilize their total income on the more significant things according to their budget. It also uses a great amount of its money on each person compared to other nations. The spending of the healthcare system is reliant on the total services consumed and the total charge per individual. The increase in either of the factors afferents to a relative escalation in the healthcare cost. If the healthcare services result comes out in a better way, the increase in healthcare spending may be beneficial. The U.S. healthcare system is in comparison with other countries in terms of some services like equity. The modern care model has ensured that the patient is given a follow-up after admission, diagnosis, and treatment. There was an increased life expectancy between the years 1975 and 2015 from 72.6 to 78, due to the reform carried out in the system. Other countries are following the pace with countries like Germany investing in statutory health insurance that covers all citizens equally(Dickman, Himmelstein, and Woolhandler,2017). Minor cases of inequality are still however more rampant than in several other developed countries.
Some of the significant and vital ways to help in reducing the costs used on physicians in the American health system include. Lowering the number of tests that a consumer has to undergo, will lessen the need to procure kits and waste unnecessary time which is payable to the physician as it is added to his working hour schedules(Papanicolas, Woskie, L.R and Jha,2018). The defensive medicine costs should be reduced, to allow the healthcare consumers and patients to get extra information and escalate the competition between other developed health service providers and decrease the sum of medical tests done for patients. The patients need to have information on how they can cut costs on medicine by maintaining their conditions away from hospitals.
