Chimamanda Adichie, a Nigerian novelist, gave a compelling TED talk titled "The danger of a single story." In this talk, she gave several examples of how dangerous it is to have only one single story about a country or a person. Our culture and our lives composed of numerous overlapping stories and it would be wrong for anyone to judge others only basing on one side of the story. The speaker gives an example of how at her young age used to judge their houseboy as being poor and incapable. However, when she visited their home, she found that they are a hardworking family that could make delicious food in a way she never imagined. This source can be useful for my research as it challenges me not to look at one side of my topic instead I should try to see what another side of the argument can hold.

Of interest, this article pays close attention to cultural globalization, which they describe as diffusion or transmission of different kind of arts and media across nations. Major cultures in the world are being transferred to other countries through the expansion of technology and infrastructure. This article also highlights the complexity that comes with defining culture globalization. This article is very efficient when researching about the impact of cultural globalization on the society. It gives accurate facts as to how cultural globalization affects people all over the world.

Tomlinson in his article "Cultural Globalization" discusses how globalization has continued into influence cultures over the world. He notes that the concept of cultural globalization is very complex more particularly how cultures are transferred from one nation to the other. According to him, cultural globalization cannot just be classified as an aspect of social life since there is more to it than that. Cultures by nature are sophisticated, it would not be easy to introduce culture to a new place, and it becomes accepted. Many factors work together to ensure that particular culture becomes universal than the others do. Furthermore, the article explains that culture can contain aspects such as film, art, music, literature and among many others and for any of this aspect to be globalized, it must show some superiority. This article is beneficial in my research in that it analyses the concept of cultural globalization quite efficiently. It explains how culture can be transferred from one nation to another by highlighting the key factors that must be considered.
