Even though the number of deaths that occurred within that particular century cannot be clearly established, it was estimated to be approximately 170 million deaths that stand out to be a proclaiming disaster. The term genocide and war have different meanings and illustrations. Genocides can be termed according to the learning summary as a deliberate, mass killing of people majorly due to their racial, ethnic and religious identity (Toffler & Toffler, 1970). And it always carried out under the guise of war but it generally differs from war in that it does not merely take place to gain political power or to gain land and other resources. The main goal of all the genocides is the obliteration of the human groups.

The first and second world war were described as the most ever seen genocide that has ever occurred in world history. World war II is a conflict that involved almost all the countries of the world. It began in 1939 and ended in 1945. The main participants were, Germany, Italy, and Japan. Countries like the United States of America, France, and China. War was a 20 years tension which was left unsettled by World War. More than forty million deaths occurred during this period. It is the largest war in history with a lot of bloodshed conflict. World War II was already also a continuation of World War I (Toffler & Toffler, 1970). Its main causes were Japanese expansion, fascism, Hitler and his ambition, appeasement, the great depression and Versailles treaty. Japanese expansion, in the duration before World War II, Japan was really growing, however, they did not have enough land and resources to sustain their growth, therefore Japanese started to grow their territory in order to gain more resources, which led to attack of Manchuria in 1931 and China 1937.

Many events which occurred throughout the world which led to the beginning of World War II. World War II was a continuation of World War I. Music according to the discussion was viewed as a very perfect way to rally people during the civil rights movements and also a way to give people moral during the marches. In my view, however, the process was really necessary but in another way, it can lead to mass action which in several cases was the beginning of most of the genocides that occurred in the 20th century. Another because which lead to World War II was appeasement, the Europe nations were so much tired and weary since during the period of World War I, people were mistreated and some lost their lives, home and some also were forced to be slaves, more than one million died also, causing fear among the people living in this nation. Italy and Germany became more aggressive and started to take over. All countries which were close to them and neighbors had developed their armies and some countries such as Britain and France hoped to keep peace through appeasement. They hope through doing these would bring satisfaction and there would be no war again. Unfortunately, these policies of appeasement did not work while only made Hitler stronger and gave him an opportunity to build up his army, trained them to be stronger. The other one is treating of Versailles which ended World War I and other powers. Since Germany lost their war, the treaty was very harsh against Germany. Germany because of this they were forced to accept the responsibility for damages that was caused and suffered because of war by the allies. The treaty then forced Germany to pay a very large amount of money which left Germany to be economical ruined. Hence people from Germany starved while others died due to lack of money and food to sustain them. Lastly, this period of World War II was a duration of great economic suffering throughout World War II which was referred to as the great depression. Many people lost their jobs and became unemployed, which led to the death of some people due to starvation and some also struggling to survive. This was also marked with an increase in government instability and worldwide turmoil (World War II).
