The most memorable day of a person can be either negative or positive depending on the situation. My experience was exceptional since I had just turned 13 when I first visited the most magical place on earth. While on the monorail, my mom, aunt, and I could barely sit still; we were in much anticipation of catching a glimpse of the castle peaks. Nearing the park, my excitement grew, but it wasn't until I heard "Please stand clear for the doors; Por favor martingale alejado de las Puertas." I felt my heart skip a beat. "I must be dreaming," I thought. The doors opened, and as I walked into the crowd, a soft voice said: "Welcome to Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom, where dreams come true." That was the beginning of what would be the most memorable day of my life.
First, we walked down the famous Main Street, USA. A cast member greeted us: "Have a magical day." Straightaway I started feeling the magic. There were huge gardens with different types of flowers of multiple colors and beautiful bushes shaped of Disney's characters; it was like being in a dream. Suddenly the air was filled with a fascinating aroma, of fresh popcorn and sweet candy apples. I saw many colorful balloons and floating bubbles too. My family wanted to capture the magical moment so; we took our first family photo with the iconic Cinderella Castle in the background.
As we approached the castle, the music became louder and louder; it was a parade! There were dancing and singing Disney movie characters all over. It was the beginning of a fantastic day! I was overwhelmed by happiness and wanted to go everywhere. However, my family explained we would have to plan our magical day wisely, to get the most out of it, in very little time. For this reason, I took a map, browsed through it, and decided that we would explore the two most appealing lands in the park.
Next, we visited the land of the future. Quickly, I searched for the ride I had always dreamed of on the map. It was located in the sci-fi land of the park called Tomorrowland. As I walked into the land, I noticed all the buildings were futuristic, and the employees were dressed in robotic clothing. I felt like I was on another planet. The background sounds were beeping and speaking robots. Suddenly, there it was beautiful, white, tall and round, "Space Mountain!" I exclaimed. I ran towards it and stood in line. We had to wait over two hours to ride. But it was worth it. This was a fast thriller. It was by far my favorite ride in the whole park. I loved it so much that we had to ride it four times! Afterward, we didn't have much time left, so we decided to have an out of this world snack and move on to the next land.
Lastly, we visited Adventureland. Everything I did there felt like being in an adventure movie. In contrast with Tomorrowland, Adventureland had an earthy, nature-oriented atmosphere with animal sounds and tribal music in the background. Moreover, I learned that Mr. Walt Disney envisioned this land to combine elements of the world's jungles and rainforest, and wanted the rides to be themed as well-known adventure movies. While I was there, I experienced being part of the exotic worlds I admire on screen. Although we explored this land and enjoyed other several rides, I must say that my favorite ride here was Pirates of the Caribbean. Unlike Space Mountain, this ride was not a fast thriller; instead, it was a slow boat ride with detailed animatronics' pirates singing and dancing. It was so real; I could even smell gunpowder from the pirate's cannons. Just like being in the movie! Unfortunately, our time was running out, I wished I could stay in this adventure dreamland forever, but I knew it was time to leave. So we headed towards the castle for the Happily Ever After fireworks show. It was the most impressive display of lights and songs; I had ever seen. It indeed was a way to end the night with a bang.
It had been the most memorable day of my life. As we made our way towards the exit, I turned my head, glanced at the castle one last time, and mentally said a bittersweet goodbye. That night I lay in bed feeling immensely happy. "What a magical day," I whispered with awe. I began to reminisce and laughed over the fun moments I shared with my family. These memories brought a smile to my face each time. The Magic Kingdom is a place where dreams come true even if it is only for a day. There is a special place for everyone. For those seeking illusion and fantasy; those are seeking thrills; or even those seeking adventure. By all means, everyone should experience such a magical moment at least once in their lifetime. After all, it is most certainly "The Most Magical Place on Earth."
