Nursing is an essential unit of the healthcare sector for proper service delivery and comfort provision to the patients. Notably, some people assume that doctors play a more significant role in treating patients, but this is not the case. Therefore anyone studying nursing should understand their worthwhile before committing to this occupancy. For instance, nurses create more relationships with patients through physical contacts, provide psychological support, and provide compassionate services to the aging population with less access to healthcare. Therefore, this paper seeks to discuss the importance of becoming a nurse and strategies nurses can use to overcome emergencies, and the support system responsible for nurses' licensing.
Unlike most doctors, nurses develop more substantial contact and relationship with patients and provide them comfort. From the patients' perspective, nurses provide adequate time to ensure that patients consider the doctors' prescriptions accurately and experience positive changes in their health system (Gardenier, 2015). Notably, most hospitals have provided residence to the nurses to ensure proper attendance to the patients. Besides, the national council licensure examination (NCLEX) registers graduates in nursing who pass the examination for the first time and then issue them a nursing license (Dahnke, 2016). This board considers service provision by the nurse during the internship before issuing the license.
Consequently, most nurses provide psychological support to patients hence boost their hopes. For instance, most cancer victims tend to lose hope in their future health, but nurses still provide the kind and loving care (Gardenier, 2015). In America, nurses must acquire proper training on matters of psychological health (Croke, 2020). The trained nurses should get approval from the Rode Island Board of Registration to acquire a nursing license. This program enhances nurses' responsibility in nurturing of patients.
Subsequently, nurses are responsible for providing compassionate treatment to the aging population who may have retired and have less healthcare access. Notably, there is a high demand for good healthcare services by the old generation, but doctors may be inadequate (Croke, 2020). Therefore, nurses have enabled clinics' accessibility in local areas with the help of CDSS that enhance the integration of information from research studies (Dahnke, 2016). CDSS is a computer-based program that assists nurses in decision-making for nurses' better performance towards treating this elderly generation.
In conclusion, the paper discussed the various importance of becoming a nurse. Notably, nurses have a great responsibility to provide psychological support to the patients, spend most time examining them, and provide healthcare services to the elderly who cannot access hospitals. Alongside this, various techniques and support teams are required to ensure the nurses' qualifications and issue them working license. In summary, any nurse should understand the importance of this course to enhance proper occupancy dedication.
