Chemically, there are three types of alcohols, ethyl, methyl, and isopropyl (Guo & Ren, 2010). Of these categories, only ethyl-based alcohol is considered relatively safe for drinking. Methyl or commonly referred to as methanol is mainly used as an industrial solvent and is poisonous when consumed. Isopropyl or isopropanol-based alcohols are only used as service alcohol for disinfection, mainly I hospitals, and are toxic when consumed. Ethyl which is mainly processed from fermented grain or starchy products is the only allowed alcohol type for drinking. Even so, the amount of alcohol taken is often linked with adverse health effects. Alcohol is considered a health risk factor in most health-related problems such as substance abuse, cancer, heart conditions, and psychiatric conditions among others. In the research by Griswold et al. (2018) assessing the risk of alcohol intake from 195 countries published in The Lancet Journal, the traditionally held notion that taking a small amount of health is beneficial to health was overruled. The gains that a glass of wine can have on heart health proved insignificant compared to the cumulative damage the alcohol intake causes in terms of exacerbating the risk of cancer. Therefore, not all alcohols are safe to drink both in terms of chemical or concentration.

Comparing Plants and Animals Cells

Plants and animal cells share some similarities, but also have distinctive characteristics. In both animal and plant cells, they qualify as eukaryotic cells by the fact that their cytoplasm comprises of a variety of organelles and a membrane-bound. Some of the cell's structures observed in plant and animal cells include mitochondria, nucleus, endoplasmic reticulum, peroxisomes, Golgi apparatus, ribosomes, and microtubules/microfilaments. The differences between the two starts with the shape with the plant cell being rectangular a shape well maintain by the tough cell wall layer on top of the cell membrane while animal cells lack a definite shape since they lack a cell wall covering the cell membrane. The plant cell is further maintained by the presence of a single large central vacuole as opposed to many small vacuoles evidenced in an animal cell. Also, plant cells contain chloroplasts, where photosynthesis takes place but lacks in animal cells. More so, while animal cells contain lysosomes the structures lack in plant cells (Kaspar & Yablonski, 2015, pp. 7-13)
