From the available information on police-community interactions and issues embedment, I believe that the following areas still have room for research, and the policies are vital to police workability and welfare.
Police Force Use and Community Encounter
This is an alarming research issue as the studies done up to this point do not adequately describe the police application of their mandated power over citizens (Dunham et al., 2020). Also, there is a lack of information on how the citizens encounter the police using the public power they own. A room for research exists in methodologies used in the asymmetrical power assignment and the factors affecting the force issue (Weisburd, & Majmundar, 2018). This policy on force limits and approach systems is crucial in installing respect with official dimensions for police officers and minimizing community exploitation and risks faced by officers from harassment by the community (Dunham et al., 2020).
Police Mirage and Community Reform
This is a recurring concern as community policing changes day and night. Therefore the diversions, changes, and abduction of policies relating to police-community interaction satisfy that the issue creates a research gap. Like Worden and McLean (2017) argue, future researchers have to familiarize themselves with the topic as the current studies are running short of information due to deviations example in the procedural police crime and justice tackle, street patrols, and work safety for officers (Worden & McLean, 2017). The reform is best in eliminating corruption and unethical practices in the police force and, at the same time, improving officers' security (Weisburd, & Majmundar, 2018).
The Anomaly of Police
This is an excellent research potential area that requires depth check. The research vacancy exists as the community traditions, culture economy, and personal life are changing in the name of technology and democracy (Chriss, 2015). Therefore there is a need to get intact with the police and community's responsive actions regarding the forensic, camera search, and weapon involvement in the evaluation of crime scenes without affecting normalcy of performance (Weisburd, & Majmundar, 2018). This policing necessitates best police investigations through friendly interaction and minimized disruptions with the general public- information, therefore, flows perfectly to the officers at work.
