Introduction
The mission of Brew2U Coffee Shop is to create a new customer experience by promoting healthy and tasty coffee. This project resonates with the top company goal that aims to ensure persons consume pure coffee free of additives and unhealthy sugars. The project is part of our programs to create social awareness of cancer risk through healthy consumptions. This program will also create a few jobs for locals who will be distributing our coffee. Our primary and only product will be coffee. In the event the program scales-up, we plan to adopt the Amazon-business model through which we will do home deliveries of customer orders. The high-level deliverables would entail customer education on healthy consumption through our website and corporate social responsibilities to offer therapy to cancer patients. We will also aim to change business ethics on such issues as environmental concerns through green packaging. As stated earlier, the project will be designed to meet our company objective of informing consumers of the need for healthy consumption. It will also be oriented with our objective to create awareness for businesses on the need for business ethics and consumer -first business model.
Create Awareness
We need this business as a platform to create awareness about the dangers of cancer. Coffee, in particular, forms our core interest to do so. This is because, albeit the beverage has been traditionally consumed by the masses, many things have been ignored around it. For instance, consumers ignore the dangers of possible additives in their favorite coffee, yet, according to Tang et al. (2010), a meta-analysis of a study around coffee drinking has associated the disease with the risk of lung cancer. With time the business will not be modified for commercialism but will continue to operate in the non-profit model. However, as with any business, the project will be managed in a fashion that avoids losses and negative returns. Hence feasibility studies will be conducted through analysis tools like the net present value (NPV). We intend to make margins from operations to sustain our business and ensure its perpetuity to benefit personS into the foreseeable future. The project will mainly be financed by partner investors, particularly advocates of cancer awareness, and managed by a board of business professionals. This will ensure the business is managed effectively, so the investors do not incur losses, and our expense items such as payroll and utilities are sustainable.
Conclusion
The main milestone associated with the project will be its goal to change consumerism patterns by promoting healthy consumption. Our preliminary budget is estimated at around 150 000 US dollars, and the minimum acceptance criteria by the stakeholders is a three to five percent return on the capital outlay. The stakeholders will also need the project to have a payback period of 4 years at the maximum. This project is based on the critical assumption that coffee is one of the biggest-selling consumer fast foods, so we should have a substantial market size. However, this project's primary limiting factor is that it will not pay highly for its workers; hence, it might be challenging to find a workforce. Fortunately, though, green and sustainable consumerism is fast becoming a trend today, so we expect to find many parties interested in working with us. This project is largely limited to foodstuff and will not spill beyond that space. The major risk to this project will be competition form unethical rivals. Moreover, socio-cultural factors like the traditional consumption patterns will also significantly affect our survival.
