These strategies and interventions are easy and straightforward to attain, and they can reduce risks of falling and subsequent injuries. SUN LTC skilled community as a Long-Term Care community that is established for patients requires hands-on care and 24-hour supervision. It has identified goals that need to be considered to come up with recommendations. Successful implementation of and sustainability of prevention programs requires clearly defined goals and responsibilities and clear fall management policies and procedures for all interdisciplinary team members (Keise, 2019). The management can be able to monitor all movements within the property and view video footage later.

Wireless Network System and Alarms

The facility can implement a wireless network system that sounds the bed alarm when a resident classified as possible fall risk gets out of their bed. Bed and chair alarms are recommended for use with individuals who are cognitively impaired and by those wandering, and also those residents who are unable to call for assistance with ambulation or transfers. The implementation of a wireless network will be vital for the use of these alarms and their effectiveness.

Establishing and Modifying Railings

It is vital that the place residents' step on is multi-layered and seamless to maintain balance while walking. An industrial carpet cleaner is essential for cleaning since cleaning must be done as many times as possible to avoid dirt and damp places that might result in falls.

Brighter Bulbs

Establishing newer and brighter bulbs into residents’ rooms and bathrooms. The residential area requires an assessment of vision if residents report visual problems (Keise, 2019). While wearing corrective eyewear and treatment of remediable visual abnormalities can decrease the risk of falls, it vital to establish brighter bulbs in rooms and bathrooms to compensate for vision problems and ensure safer movements, especially at night.
