Healthcare settings are experiencing a lot of challenges that result in low-quality service delivery. One of the issues hindering progress in healthcare are lack of resources. The primary resources lacking in the majority of healthcare facilities include advanced technology, funding, staffing, and incentives (Rizwan et al., 2018). Similarly, some countries lack payment schemes leading to frequent strikes. The primary resources are required to offer high-quality treatment. Likewise, medical practitioners need to be motivated to deliver the best services. They should be given benefits like other employees in other government sectors. Some private hospitals in various countries tend to offer all health services, but they lack the proper instruments needed for diagnosis (Babajanova et al., 2019). As a result, the patients are improperly diagnosed and given the wrong treatment, which is a crime.

The government in various countries should ensure all hospitals are well equipped with the instruments needed to perform their procedures. Hospitals found treating patients without proper tools should be confiscated, and their working permits canceled (Haley et al., 2017). In essence, the outcome will result in improved health care since hospitals will only treat infections that they can handle. I believe most healthcare facilities, notably in developing countries, lack essential hospital equipment due to poor governance. However, when some of their leaders are ill, they usually book appointments overseas for treatment. In essence, this is an apparent indication that they are not willing to improve their healthcare facilities for the common public since they can afford overseas services. However, I don't know why government officials should spend millions to get treatment overseas, yet they can improve local hospitals and acquire the same treatment. Also, the same government leaders support quality education in all fields. Thus, they should have faith in the local doctors and access treatment in their home country. Their health outcome will help to improve the health facilities.

Journal 2: Literature Review, Mid-August

Inequalities within the social circle are directly linked to individual health and that of the population. Some aspects of the social structure include differences in personal income, education levels, ethnicity, employment status, and gender (Rizwan et al., 2018). One's income most likely determines health status. Some people have a meager salary that cannot meet their basic needs. If such individuals are sick, they are likely to seek medication in the local hospitals that do not have enough medical facilities. If their illnesses cannot be treated in the local hospitals, they are likely to stay at home waiting for well-wishers to help them (Rizwan et al., 2018). The education level is another determinant of one's health- individuals who have advanced in education are likely to secure good-paying jobs, which can cater to all their needs.

Also, some of the high-paying jobs entail medical cover for all the employees. Similarly, employees can choose hospitals of their choice where they can be treated when they fall ill. Additionally, some ethnic groups believe in herbal medicine, which cannot cure all their illnesses. Gender is another factor that contributes to an individual's quality of life. The most affected gender is female, mainly illiterate. In most cases, women develop complications of the reproductive system unaware, especially during pregnancy (Babajanova et al., 2019). Some of the illnesses include dental diseases such as gingivitis, which causes stillbirths. Some of the government's resources are to establish programs in rural areas to educate mothers on prevalent conditions that can affect their unborn infants during pregnancy (Babajanova et al., 2019). Similarly, they can ensure all local hospitals have all structures for service delivery, like in national hospitals. Providing equal access to all healthcare services is the only way to link the gap between the rich and the poor and improve overall medical health.

Additionally, the political-economic ideal contributes to poor services in the healthcare setting. The political-economic configuration is determined by the level of revenue inequality, civic expenses, healthcare profits, and community support for vulnerable individuals (Rizwan et al., 2018). A country's economy is associated with the populations' poor health, infections, and death rate. If the community has poor health, the condition can be linked to the diet of the individuals and their area of residence. Some people live in areas close to irrigation schemes, which increases their chances of contracting malaria (Ullah et al., 2019). The government must allocate such individuals to better places that are not prone to malaria infections.

Similarly, some street families cannot afford better medical care due to a lack of resources. Their diet is also poor, which predisposes them to illnesses due to poor immunity. I think every government can accommodate all of its citizens. The street families can also be accommodated in the government systems by offering them jobs to clean streets and maybe planting trees in national parks and forests. The practice will help them to exploit their potential and earn income to improve their lives. Also, they will be in a position to access proper medical care. Therefore, despite the government's failure to allocate enough resources to hospitals to improve healthcare, they also need to take care of the vulnerable (Ullah et al., 2019). The poor need to earn income to get the courage to visit various hospitals. To help the poor, governments need to amend the existing policies to accommodate all individuals.

Correspondingly, the marginalized regions are mostly affected in regard to quality health care. According to Rizwan et al. (2018), Namibia recorded high cases of stillbirths in 2019, which stood at 2110. The area has very few hospitals with few registered nurses. Also, healthcare facilities lack advanced technology to diagnose various illnesses. In most cases, patients are requested to buy drugs through over-the-counter chemists who are very expensive. Also, some health centers in the area do not have enough nurses to work around the clock. In most cases, there is either one nurse in the health facilities, while sometimes, the security guards are left in charge of the inpatients (Rizwan et al., 2018). Therefore, if one visits the facilities at night, he must wait until morning to be attended by the nurses. If the infection is acute, there are high chances of developing other health complications due to delayed treatment.

If a mother has to deliver in the facilities at night, it could be hard if the nurses are not present. Likewise, some of the hospitals in the region cannot perform caesarian surgery. The expectant mothers have to be transported to the city hospitals in for treatment. Some of the stillbirths are caused by delayed surgery. Also, the workflow is not optimized since the workers are not enough in hospitals. Thus, the increased number of stillbirths in the country results from a lack of hospital resources and low staffing (Babajanova et al., 2019). The government of Namibia is not distributing its resources equally to all citizens. An individual's location should not be a determinant of whether they will receive help from the government. Namibia is not the only country that has neglected the healthcare quality of its citizens.

Equally, in the Northeastern part of Kenya, the area residents tend to undergo a lot of challenges due to inadequate resources. The hospitals are also ill-equipped, and the area residents tend to be malnourished. Also, patients must be transported to Nairobi city for proper treatment of acute illness, which is a six-hour car drive. The Northeastern region in Kenya is the only area that is immensely affected in the country (Haley et al., 2017). However, other cities have improved facilities, though not as per the expected standards by the ministry of Health. Therefore, the lack of high-quality care in various hospitals in the world is attributed by the unequal distribution of resources. The government should develop a plan on how to purchase hospital tools and distribute them to all hospitals in various regions of a country.

Also, there should be a plan to evaluate how healthcare services are offered. Hospitals should also give an account of how resources are utilized in the facility. If any hospital management is involved in fund embezzlement, action must be taken to ensure all hospital funds are used for the right purposes (Haley et al., 2017). Thus, the government should work together with hospitals to improve the quality of care and individuals' overall lives. However, several questions revolve around the causes of inequality in our societies. Also, the reasons why the various governments are less concerned with some populations within their states need to be researched.

Journal 3: Analysis, due early September

There is an inadequate number of health workers internationally. The deficiency is approximated to be 13 million by 2036- at the moment, the inadequacy of health workers are reported to be 7.3 million (Babajanova et al., 2019). According to a report submitted in 2013 by the World Health Organization, if the shortage of health workers is not solved, it will pose adverse effects to billions of citizens globally. Rural areas are the most affected according to Rizwan et al. (2018) – the population of nurses is approximately 39% while that of doctors is 26% in the countryside globally. Similarly, according to Ullah et al. (2019), about 57% of the global population resides in rural areas. Thus, the number of healthcare workers cannot meet the needs of the residents of the rural areas since the ratio of the residents is higher than that of the health workers.

Developing countries have a higher prevalence of inadequate health workers. The deficiency is associated with the failure to achieve the health-related Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) (Haley et al., 2017). Similarly, if the health workers are not increased to the expected number, implications may arise, which could interfere with the attainment of the health-related Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) (Ullah et al., 2019). Several factors contribute to the shortage of health workers in the majority of developed countries. They include high cases of chronic diseases, a high concentration of nurses and doctors in the urban centers, and conflict. Some of the developed countries affected include the United States of America and the United Kingdom (Babajanova et al., 2019).

Chronic diseases require a lot of attention, unlike other infections. The majority of appointments in various hospitals across the world are for patients with chronic infections. Therefore, a limited number of nurses have to attend to them and treat other regular patients. Also, some of the chronic infections are caused by poor eating habits. For instance, obesity is one of the confounding factors that result in high blood pressure among the majority of patients (Snow, 2019). Some of these patients suffer from cardiac arrest. Obesity can be genetic, but it is primarily caused by the intake of high-fat food and sugars. Obesity cases are increasing daily, leading to high instances of hypertension, which calls for more nurses (Haley et al., 2017). Therefore, if chronic illnesses can be reduced, nurses' ratio to patients can increase and decrease the deficiency.
