The film The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, directed by Peter Jackson, was released in 2001. The film – starring actors like Sala Baker, Orlando Bloom, Billy Boyd, Alan Howard, and Elijah Wood – is centered on a story about the future of civilization. This future rests in the fate of One Ring which had been lost for centuries, and the powerful forces are in a relentless search for the Ring (Jackson, 2001). The film's plot starts when a young hobbit named Frodo gets the Ring as a matter of fate. On discovery that the Ring belongs to Sauron, the dark lord, Frodo has to take an epic journey to the Cracks of Doom to expedite the destruction of the Ring (Jackson, 2001). A few others accompany Frodo as they take on the dangerous adventure toward their destination because only the destruction of that Ring can ensure that the reign of the dark lords comes to an end.
The film takes the audience on an adventurous trip, presenting the characters in vintage fashion. The following image is an image shot from the film. Further, this link is an excerpt from the film (YouTube, 2013).
The evil Sauron is a contrast of Frodo whose only aim is to make a better society and bring civilization to the people. The film represents how the good and evil fight, often the evil possessing immense power over the good. The film comes across chronologically since the events are arranged in a timeline that follows a good order of succession. It is easy to follow because of its great chronological alignment.

Response to Brian Bowlin (Posted on Wednesday)
Hello Brian, you have an exciting post about the movie Rocky (1976). From the post, younger people would be interested in watching the movie from over four decades ago. The main character in the film comes across as an individual who lives his life depending on the situation. In one moment, he is ruthless, in the next, he is the most caring person. The film's plot and storyline endear the main character to the audience, and they relate to him more than any other character in the movie. I believe that the chronological approach is excellent for the film, though a non-linear presentation could have added to the film's thrill. The short clip embedded in the discussion post tells a great story of a man determined to achieve his goals and targets. Even though Rocky does not get over the line in his quest for success, he comes across every bit of determination required by any person who desires success in any field.
Response to Rhommell Williams (Posted on Thursday)
Hello Williams, the film Bonnie and Clyde’s Choice just got me excited, and from the discussion post, I am determined to watch the movie pretty soon. Two people from two different worlds, falling in love and mapping a path of life together is not only intriguing but scary. By all means, it comes across as an exciting adventure of life, blinded by love and motivated by the knack of crime. The chronological presentation of the film means that there are numerous ‘near-death’ moments for the criminal couple until they meet their death. The nail-biting criminal activities in the movie are a thrill. The story resonates with the day-to-day illegal activities reported in the media every day. Putting this together like an entertainment movie should drive enough adrenaline for the audience, with high anxiety and anticipation of every scene in the film.
