According to (Sen, 2007), noble case corruption is misbehavior by the police that arises from a yearning for a result that is virtuous. It is different from other forms of crime, due to its ability to anticipate a selfless motive and not self-centered. Some types of corruption mishandle the power of police to gain control and economic advantage. Noble cause corruption is centered on maximizing the potential of the police to achieve fair outcomes. As much as the manners of the cops may remain corrupt, the result remains impressive. It is a center of discussion because as much as it is encouraged by good ends, it needs unethical means.

Conducts that lie within the concept of noble case corruption differs in terms of unjustness. Not all action is extrajudicial or unlawful. For example, it involves activities as distinguishable as not being honest with suspects. The courts have viewed this action, in certain situations as lawful and collecting evidence against suspects. The universe has condemned this since it is like an infringement of a suspect's right. Noble case corruption entails; whipping suspects as a punishment for their actions, lying about what an associate in crime with the suspect has admitted or not admitted to, being dishonest on the witness stand to gain an article of faith.

The case is noble when the officer acted to guard an innocent person, fight crime, catch a rogue, or behave in a good, noble and just manner. In most cases, the officer desires to do good, due to what they need to do and bring to the job (Caldero, 2014). According to some scholars, this is something all officers must hold on to, in order to reflect the authorization of their profession. Whenever an officer feels that legal closes have blocked their competency to act right, a noble cause corruption occurs.

Ethical value of noble cause corruption

The noble cause is a commitment based on integrity to make the world a safer place. Corruption results when the means to achieve these goals become less important than those of making the universe a safer place. Most times, the methods of accomplishing the ends are more manifested. When officers are sworn, they promise to protect victims and stop further violence. This focus on the suffering of the victims sometimes, push officers to focus more on making the world a safer place, usually, when they join, their cause is noble, to help others.

When it reaches a point where they have to stop more people from getting victimized, they assume unlawful activities to do this. An example of a module that best explains these actions is philosophy (Pollock, 2010). Some questions were derived to determine whether a move by the police is good work or noble case corruption including; whether the activity is unethical, whether is permitted under the department policy, if the activity partaken is outside the law and if it is only philosophical or accepted under the ethical system. Police tend to view breaking of rules as something that has more significant benefits, since the public wants it that way, and it is a job they are paid to do to achieve higher goals. Regardless of the methods used, they have to get criminals out of the streets.

Ethical dilemmas shapes, reform lives and restrains any challenges faced by the law enforcement. The deontological moral system states that the actions of a person are vindicated despite that the outcomes might lead to negative consequences. In the teleological order, however, whether a person's intentions were positive or negative, the results of behavior are the most important.

Unethical values of noble cause corruption

Noble cause corruption, in the constitution, is misconduct by the police. They commit themselves to meet good ends; neglecting exemplary processes of working to make the world safer. They even go an extent of covering up misconducts by the police. These corrupt means start when; an individual lacks leadership morals, lacks faith in the criminal justice system, and ignore the responsibilities outlined to them by the administration. These are circumstances brought about by weak supervision and arrogance. Noble cause corruption undervalues ideology and the laws of the land.

Murder, torture and illegal entry are some of the issues outlined in this context. Whenever police are faced with problems, they react by competing with ethical codes. I this cases, they play with the rules of the community by letting dangerous offenders go free or killing to prevent those offenders from committing extreme crimes to the society (Grometstein,2007). Scholars such as Edwin Dellature argue that some forms of conduct are unacceptable despite their just ends. For instance; he mentions that police go to the extent of obtaining confessions by force.

While there are clear motives of why police officers engage in noble cause corruption, there has been a serious focus on their unlawful behaviors. These behaviors could be legal and not entirely unconstitutional but still remain unethical, calling for an investigation into the legal system itself (Cooper, 2012). Their behavior may lead to citizens not trusting them, making it harder to work with the police. Rogue officers take part in activities that do not involve accountability by their administration, even though they understand clearly that they should uphold and respect the constitution.

Personal position statement

I believe that the noble cause corruption is ethical since, according to various researches and reports I have gone through by the police, they prevent crime and act the way they do to protect themselves and the citizens. They share their attitudes as to why they tend to use dishonest means; searches that are unlawful, writing of false reports, planting evidence, and forceful arrests. These abnormalities by the officers benefit them both professionally and personally. A strong belief expressed by the police shows that their actions go beyond being necessary to solve criminal issues. The culture of the police, in my opinion, should be addressed in a definite point of view. The modern culture uses negotiation means to get access to and solve almost everything. Police officers and administrators approach this by formulating rules and drawing their perspectives.

The police are human beings whose nature in their straining working environment is to cope. Their cultures do not conform to the grounds of conventional wisdom, and their characters are not based upon their professional attitudes.

Conclusion

Noble cause corruption is caused by supporting the teleological ethical system, which suggests that people will obtain goals by all means, even if they have to include both illegal and unethical values. This is a means that has been seen to produce results that lead to a greater good. These people mostly, are convinced that their actions are righteous and very beneficial to the human race.
